Wilson’s Beach Cottage has its own private beach path directly onto the beach 100 meters away. You can literally walk to your favourite surf spot, run your favourite trail, cycle your favourite mountain bike route, hike, bird watch and so much more right from the Cottage.
We have a dream braai area sheltered from the wind, fully decked with large custom-made day beds which adorn the whole deck area. Picture coming off the beach straight into the best outdoor hot & cold shower surrounded by a forest for complete privacy. After a morning of exercise, relax in the sun reading a book or snooze under the milk woods listening to the sound of the birds and sea – food for the soul.
Boasting a state-of-the-art slow combustion fireplace for those cold winter nights, we also have all the mod cons you need in a self-catering cottage plus complete privacy as you are surrounded by nature away from the craziness of life – truly a gem to recharge your batteries and reconnect to nature, family and friends!

The Cottage is surrounded by 4 different nature reserves – you can literally follow from our doorstep (no need to drive) well marked trail runs, mountain bike routes, hikes. You can also surf, kiteboard, dive, fish or bird watch in all the different biomes or just simply stroll along 2.5km of unspoilt pristine beach (5km run along the same beach from our Cottage and back).

If you are wanting a breath-taking 1 or 2 day hike, trail or mountain bike adventure you will never forget, consider visiting the Baviaanskloof or Tsitsikamma Forest.

We are spoilt for choice with an abundance of parks such as the iconic Addo Elephant Park which has over 700 free-roaming Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Rhino, and the shy Leopard! Only in this hidden gem can you do this. Bespoke 1 and 2-day game trips are offered from Wilson’s Beach Cottage. Alternatively, if you want a truly African experience, you can combine a bespoke “surf and turf” adventure starting with a few days in the bush guided by safari specialists who have 40 years plus combined experience guiding tours throughout South Africa, followed up by a few days at the sea at Wilson’s Beach Cottage unwinding even further!

Swimming
Liquid Lines just 1 km up the road – this is a must! They offer aerobics sessions, and strenuous swimming sessions, water cross fit and plenty more in the gym. Best to book sessions during season as they are extremely popular!

The St Francis Bay Golf Club is situated within the heart of the picturesque village of St Francis. This full 18 hole course offers challenging holes for all levels.
St Francis Links is a natural course between the beach and arable land, it challenges all who play it and rewards those who respect it.
A short drive to Humansdorp, will lead you to Zwartenbosch Golf Club. Although set out over 9 holes, this course offers different tee boxes for holes 10 -18.
